City of Houston is seeking an experienced Safety Administration professional to support the Health & Safety Management System across multiple city departments. You will conduct investigations, coordinate risk evaluations, and design training programs to reduce risk and ensure compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years in safety administration, with CSP/CIH preferred. A Texas driver's license is required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• Certification as CSP or CIH preferred.
• Three years of experience in Safety Administration or related field.

Mansioni

• Conduct routine and complex incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend mitigation.
• Plan and coordinate safety surveys, risk evaluations, and compliance activities.
• Design and deliver safety training programs including first aid and regulatory updates.
• Perform worksite inspections to verify compliance and support corrective actions.
• Prepare safety data, metrics, and trend reports for stakeholders.
• Participate in safety committees and provide guidance on hazard controls and procedures.
• Advise City departments on Health & Safety matters and regulatory alignment.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable standards; attend training.
• Mentor City of Houston employees to strengthen workforce safety competency.
• Engage in public safety outreach and educational sessions citywide.
