Job summary

Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is seeking an Occupational Safety Consultant 4 to provide professional guidance on safety matters for Northwest PDO and Southwest PDO districts in Arizona. The role may involve significant travel and occasional remote work within Arizona.

The position supports all divisions with OSHA compliance, safety programs, and training, with an emphasis on hazard recognition and effective reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years equivalent full-time work experience.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), ARM, CHHM preferred.
• Experience with OSHA regulations and safety program implementation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis; determine corrective actions.
• Conduct safety visits and inspections; recommend improvements to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
• Develop and present safety training; communicate risks and maintain safety documentation.
