Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a DevOps Engineer focusing on Observability and Platform Engineering. The role primarily builds and standardizes observability, tracing, logging, telemetry, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure across complex applications and services.

Ideal candidates bring strong AWS and Terraform expertise, with the ability to establish reusable observability patterns adopted by development teams. The position is fully remote with U.S. schedule alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps/Platform/SRE in complex enterprises.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the observability and telemetry architecture across apps and cloud infra.
• Establish standards for distributed tracing, logging, monitoring, metrics, and telemetry.
• Partner with development teams to define tracing standards and end-to-end traceability.
• Create reusable observability patterns, templates, dashboards, and reporting.
• Guide engineering teams on consistent observability implementations.
• Support RCA to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Design and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Leverage Terraform for IaC and standardized deployment.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Explore automation and AI-assisted development to boost speed.
