Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Infrastructure team, focusing on Observability for internal and customer-facing systems. You will join a mission-critical group ensuring reliability and productivity across the Temporal ecosystem.

You will build and own multi-component distributed systems, design scalable solutions, and participate in on-call rotations while collaborating across teams to drive reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience building horizontally scalable, resilient distributed systems.
• Designing and operating large-scale observability or streaming pipelines.
• Proficiency in Go; strong SQL skills.
• Expert Kubernetes skills; cloud experience (AWS/GCP).
• Understanding of architecture, OS, networking; monitoring practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SDLC for new features on the Infrastructure team.
• Design, review, and iterate on feature designs with stakeholders.
• Document design choices and operational knowledge.
• Provide test and production readiness coverage.
• Participate in on-call rotation and resolve incidents.
• Collaborate in design reviews and share reliability principles.
