Job summary

Roku is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Observability team within the Cloud Technology Infrastructure group in Chicago. You will design and evolve the metrics stack using Go and Rust on open-source foundations, targeting terabytes of data and hundreds of millions of series.

You will apply AI-driven development practices, automate deployments, and contribute improvements to CNCF projects. Collaboration with infra teams will be key to delivering a scalable, cloud-agnostic observability

Qualifications

8+ years in Infrastructure Engineering or DevOps focused on observability.
Experience deploying and operating open-source observability tools at scale.
Strong knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and CNCF stack.
Experience with AI-driven engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and scale high-performance components of the observability stack in Go and Rust.
Develop AI-assisted capabilities for engineering workflows and incident response.
Collaborate with Platform/Cloud teams to standardize observability tools across Roku.
Mentor engineers and influence the platform's technical direction.
