Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison for Obesity in Durham, NC. This field-based role reports to the Obesity MSL Lead and focuses on engaging OLs, PHDMs, and clinicians to communicate scientific data and improve patient outcomes.

The position requires advanced degrees and Medical Affairs experience, with preference for obesity expertise. You will lead congress activities, mentor MSLs, and collaborate across the Medical function, while maintaining compliance and current clinical

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Masters, or Bachelor’s with Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience as MSL or in Scientific/Medical Affairs roles.
• Cardiometabolic/Obesity expertise is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Opinion Leaders, PHDMs, and healthcare providers to communicate scientific data.
• Support obesity pipeline discussions with clinical investigators and sites.
• Communicate data of clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in congress activities aligned with strategy.
• Mentor other MSLs and participate in training and compliance programs.
• Provide and present field observations to inform Amgen strategies.
