Job summary

Amgen in Durham, NC seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for Obesity to act as the primary scientific resource for OLs, PHDMs, and other providers, supporting data exchange and product strategy within the US Medical team.

This field-based role reports to MSL leadership and emphasizes obesity and cardiometabolic expertise, engaging investigators, institutions, and cross-functional partners to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2+ years medical affairs experience.
• Master’s degree and 6+ years medical affairs experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years medical affairs experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers and other providers.
• Execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy as led by MSL Leadership.
• Engage with clinical investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline.
• Communicate scientific data of clinical value to PHDMs and institutions.
• Lead and participate in projects supporting MSL strategies and tactics.
