Job summary

Amgen in Washington, D.C. seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison focused on Obesity to serve as the primary scientific resource for OLs, PHDMs, and healthcare providers across a DC metro territory.

You will advance Amgen’s obesity portfolio by engaging investigators, communicating robust data, and supporting sponsored and non-sponsored research. The role includes mentorship, congress activities, and compliance-driven field leadership.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree & 2 years of Medical Affairs experience
• Master’s degree & 6 years of Medical Affairs experience
• Bachelor’s degree & 8 years of Medical Affairs experience
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)
• 2+ years in a medical science liaison role in a biotech or pharmaceutical company
• Experience with Cardiometabolic or Obesity focus

Responsibilities

• Act as primary scientific/clinical resource to OLs, PHDMs and other healthcare providers
• Execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy as led by MSL Leadership
• Engage with clinical investigators and sites in support of the obesity pipeline
• Lead and participate on project teams to support MSL strategies
• Mentor other MSLs as designated by MSL leadership
• Complete all administrative responsibilities (Veeva CRM, expense reports, etc.)
• Maintain and improve clinical/scientific acumen with current data and trends
