Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Architect in Brooklyn, NY, to lead complex, mixed-use and high-rise projects from concept to completion. The role demands design leadership, strong technical and project management skills, and collaboration across disciplines in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• 1215+ years of professional architectural experience, including NYC work.
• Experience with multi-family, mixed-use and commercial projects (mid/high-rise).
• Strong project management and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-family, mixed-use, commercial, and religious projects from concept through construction completion.
• Manage schematic design, DD, construction docs and administration.
• Coordinate project teams and assist captains/managers for seamless delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with NYC DOB requirements, building codes and zoning regulations.
• Review DOB objections and resolve issues while preserving design intent.
• Lead design development and produce buildable design solutions.
• Prepare and refine construction documents and specs with high accuracy.
• Use Revit and plugins to develop models and drawings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants across disciplines.
• Support RFIs, submittals, and site visits during construction.
• Contribute to interior design where applicable.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
