Job summary

Arch Recruiting seeks an Architectural Project Manager to lead ground-up multifamily developments in New York City from concept through construction. The role is ~75% project management and ~25% technical work, overseeing client meetings and coordination with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

The ideal candidate has NYC multifamily experience (10–500 units) and proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam, with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Experience managing ground up multifamily development projects in NYC (10–500 units).
• Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Knowledge of building systems, codes, and accessibility requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.
• Architectural licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project.
• Lead projects from concept through construction while managing scope, budget, schedule, deliverables, and quality.
• Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Manage NYC DOB filings, permitting, and project requirements.
• Review construction documents and provide technical oversight and quality control.
• Coordinate responses to plan review comments and project changes.
• Oversee construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, and contractor coordination.
• Perform technical work and production as needed, with support from additional drafters.
• Manage approximately three projects at a time depending on size and complexity.
