Job summary

ALSO. in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Senior or Staff NVH Engineer to lead development of noise and vibration for drive units and vehicles.

You will combine CAE, laboratory testing, and vehicle validation to identify NVH issues, develop countermeasures, and influence product design from concept through production, balancing cost, mass and performance across multiple programs. You will collaborate with controls, electromagnetic, manufacturing and attribute teams, instrument setups, and present

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of vibration and structural dynamics.
• Experience with CAE validation linking to vehicle measurements.
• Experience with NVH testing on vehicles and components.
• Ability to develop and optimize NVH countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Lead NVH development of drive units and complete vehicles from concept through production.
• Develop and validate CAE models for drive units and vehicle systems.
• Correlate simulation results with lab and vehicle measurements.
• Instrument vehicles and lab setups using accelerometers, microphones, and other sensors.
• Present findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Collaborate with controls, electromagnetic, manufacturing, and packaging teams.
• Define NVH targets and acceptance criteria.
• Develop automated analysis tools using MATLAB and Python.
