Job summary

Corewell Health's Nutrition Services team in Grand Rapids seeks a Senior Technician to lead meal service, train staff, and maintain efficient operations. You will drive high-quality patient and guest meals and support daily workflow.

You will oversee training for new hires, ensure diet standards and food safety, and collaborate with nurses, patients, and leadership. Shift 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., full-time, with variable days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CFP - ANSI National Accreditation Board Food Protection Manager certification (within 90 days).
• 6 months of relevant experience in food service, preferably in health care setting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, communicate, and uphold procedures and policies; train staff to established standards.
• Oversees and delivers comprehensive training for all new hires in Nutrition Services, covering diet standards, food safety, and department workflows.
• Assist as department lead as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Answer patient, team member, nursing, and visitor inquiries; reallocating staff during shortages.
• Promote transparency, teamwork, and operational efficiency through clear communication.
