Cantex Continuing Care Network seeks a full-time Nutrition Services Lead at Park Valley Inn Health Center in Round Rock, TX. The role coordinates food service operations, with emphasis on safety, budgeting, and menu adaptation in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian.

The position requires a CDM or Certified Food Service Manager, and prefer experience in long-term care. English literacy and food preparation skills are essential for daily tasks and staff leadership.

Qualifications

• CDM or Certified Food Service Manager required.
• Minimum of one year experience in long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; knowledge of arithmetic and units used in food preparation.
• Ability to cook/prepare food preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains standards for purchasing, storing and preparation of food.
• Maintains procedures to meet safety and sanitation standards per regulations.
• Plans and administers departmental budget.
• Plans and directs staffing to ensure effective food service.
• Monitors nutritional status with Registered Dietitian and documents care plans.
• Represents Nutrition Services in staff meetings and disseminates admin information.
• Adapts master menu cycle with Dietitian to facility preferences.
• Purchases food supplies within budget; supervises receiving and storage.
• Ensures temperatures meet local/state/federal regs.
• Makes/updates diet rosters and nourishment lists; audits recipes.
• Prepares tray tickets; conducts regular in-services for staff.
• Prepares financial reports; monitors email; coordinates catering.
