Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network seeks a Nutrition Services Director at Renaissance Care Center in Gainesville, TX to lead the Dining Services department, ensuring high-quality food service, policy compliance, and cost-effective operations.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with the Registered Dietitian, manage budgets, and align menus with resident preferences while meeting safety standards and government regulations.

Qualifications

• CDM or Certified Food Service Manager certification.
• Minimum of one year experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; knowledge of arithmetic and units of measurement used in food preparation.
• Ability to cook/prepare food preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains standards for purchasing, storing and preparation of food.
• Maintains procedures to meet safety and sanitation standards to comply with regulations.
• Plans and administers departmental budget.
• Directs staffing schedules and assignments for efficient food service.
• Monitors nutritional status with Registered Dietitian and supports care planning.
• Coordinates with staff and attends relevant meetings to communicate administrative information.
• Adapts master menu cycle to facility preferences with the Dietitian.
• Supervises receiving and storage of food.
• Ensures compliance with temperature controls per regulations.
• Maintains standardized recipes and yields.
• Prepares and audits tray tickets as needed.
• Executes in-services for Nutrition Services staff.
