Milestones Area Agency on Aging in Davenport, IA seeks a Nutrition Service Coordinator I to manage a non-cooking nutrition center, coordinate meals, and recruit volunteers. Responsibilities include outreach, ordering meals, overseeing reservations, and ensuring safety standards are met.

The role emphasizes nutrition education, daily paperwork, and community engagement with seniors. Part-time schedule is Mon–Thu, 10:00am–12:00pm, with benefits such as vision and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Serve Safe Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with food purchasing and planning for large quantities.
• Customer service and/or public speaking experience a plus.
• Experience working with volunteers a plus.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Applications knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Run a non-cooking nutrition center end-to-end.
• Purchase, prepare, and plan for large quantities of food.
• Promote participation through outreach and nutrition education.
• Coordinate reservations, documentation, and reporting.
• Recruit, train and supervise volunteers as needed.
• Ensure food safety standards are followed.
• Transport meals from storage to serving site if needed.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
