Job summary

Milestones Area Agency on Aging seeks an Nutrition Area Supervisor in Chariton, IA to oversee multiple nutrition centers and kitchens. You will supervise staff, coordinate meal production, manage volunteers, and ensure policy compliance across sites.

The role requires AA in a related field, 1 year of supervisory experience, and Serve Safe certification or plan to obtain within 6 months. Strong organization and communication are essential, with reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• AA in related field with 1 year supervisor experience.
• Experience in food purchasing, preparation and planning for large quantities.
• Knowledge of and experience working with the needs of elderly preferred.
• Serve Safe Certification or within 6 months of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure policies and procedures for Nutrition program are followed.
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise assigned nutrition centers and staff.
• Recruit and supervise volunteers; monitor labor hours and efficiency.
• Prepare and deliver in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain accurate paperwork including Time Trak information.
• Schedule transportation within county if applicable.
• Represent Milestones at community events.
