Zebulon House is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents per dietary plans and requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness; wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Assist with meal setup, serving, and positive dining experiences for residents.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols including storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Team Collaboration: Work with dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Resident Engagement: Fulfill special dietary requests and respect residents' preferences during meals.
