Advocat is seeking an experienced Nurse Educator for the 38263 GCMG Medical Education - Medical Education: Simulation Center. The full-time role focuses on developing staff education plans and evaluating nurse development programs to improve patient care and outcomes.
The position requires a master's degree in nursing, education, or health care administration, plus RN licensure and teaching credentials. Strong knowledge of adult learning and curriculum design is essential, along with proficiency
Qualifications
- Master's in nursing, Nursing Education or Health Care Administration required.
- Two years of teaching experience preferred; 3+ years RN experience required.
- Active RN license in the state of work; relevant certifications within 1 year.
- Life Support Instructor Certification may be required.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and curriculum development.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and AV equipment.
- Evidence of job-specific competencies.
Responsibilities
- Develops an education plan and evaluates nurse staff development programs.
- Designs interventions from literature and research for population needs.
- Supervises unit educators and conducts annual performance reviews.
- Provides educational consultation across the care continuum.
- Assesses learning styles and creates programs and materials.
- Conducts annual education needs assessments and prioritizes.
- Coaches educators in curriculum development and adult learning.
- Develops educational effectiveness measures and outcomes.
- Participates in selecting and mentoring preceptors.
- Uses multiple modalities and technology for cost-effective programs.
- Provides cost analysis and manages resources.
- Participates in facility-wide program development.
