Job summary
NorthStar Institute in Michigan is seeking a Nurse Educator to coordinate and provide ongoing education in support of NorthStar Care Community's mission. The role involves analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based learning and performance projects, with project management oversight for research initiatives.
You will lead simulation education, design training tools, collaborate with clinical leadership, and ensure EMR competencies while supporting education
Qualifications
- RN license required.
- BSN preferred; Master’s degree and specialty certification desired.
- CHPN certification required within two years of hire.
- Advanced knowledge in hospice and palliative care; telehealth knowledge beneficial.
- Minimum five years in healthcare with three years in education, teaching, or research.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide ongoing education to support the organization’s mission.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based learning and performance projects.
- Create education simulations, training manuals, and job aids.
- Lead learning and performance technology projects and coordinate scheduling and tracking of activities.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to deliver education across staff levels.
- Ensure timely completion of EMR competencies for staff.
- Travel to NorthStar Care Community locations for training and rollout as needed.
