Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions in Texas seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing staff, uphold clinical standards, and ensure safe patient care in a psychiatric inpatient setting. This role works with the DON and hospital leadership to implement policies, drive quality improvement, and maintain regulatory compliance.

The ADON will oversee staffing, performance reviews, and professional nursing care to respond to workload demands, while promoting a culture of compassion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Three years’ experience in psychiatric inpatient setting with two years’ supervisory experience.
• Two years post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or multiple disabilities.
• Regulatory agency knowledge including The Joint Commission, DHSS, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing staff, including performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary action.
• Evaluates patient care quality and implements improvement initiatives, collaborating with Nurse Managers and DON.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and organization policies and procedures.
• Provides professional nursing care as needed to respond to workload demands or staffing shortages.
