Job summary

Asbury Methodist Village, part of Asbury Communities, invites a seasoned nursing leader to join as ADON, supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations and delivering high-quality resident care.

The role requires at least five years in medical/surgical, rehab, or geriatric nursing, with two years as a Charge Nurse in geriatric care. RN license in MD, CPR/First Aid, and delegating nurse certification are required, with a BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in medical/surgical, rehab, or geriatric nursing.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Charge Nurse in geriatric care with progressive administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the effectiveness of nursing practices and 24-hour nursing care.
• Assist with staffing coordination, schedule oversight, and coverage planning.
• Perform daily rounds on assigned floors to evaluate residents’ conditions.
• Coordinate and facilitate resident service plan meetings with interdisciplinary participation.
• Complete admissions, readmissions, 45-day reviews, and Resident Assessment Tool.
• Assist with annual compliance activities, regulatory surveys, audits, and quality initiatives.
• Monitor infection prevention and control practices and assist with outbreak response and staff education.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and ongoing coaching for nursing staff.
• Collaborate with HR in recruiting, interviewing, and orientation; manage performance deficiencies.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to clinical or staffing emergencies.
