Job summary

The Director of Nursing Services (DON) at The Harrison at Heritage Fort Worth oversees all clinical operations in the SNF, ensuring high‑quality resident care, compliance with regulatory standards, and strong clinical outcomes. You will lead the Nursing Department, plan, organize, develop, and direct initiatives in alignment with state and federal requirements.

The role requires an RN license, at least 2 years supervising DON/ADON in SNFs, expertise in survey readiness and plans of correction,

Qualifications

• Current and valid state-specific RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience as a DON or ADON in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Experience with survey readiness, Plans of Correction (POCs), and quality improvement.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall clinical leadership to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes.
• Oversee, direct, and support nursing staff in the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.
• Oversee the comprehensive care planning process and ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
• Uphold resident rights, including dignity, privacy, informed consent, and safety.
• Ensure timely communication with physicians, families, and responsible parties regarding significant changes in condition.
• Participate in pre-admission assessments and approve admissions in coordination with the Administrator.
