Job summary

Global Engineering & Technology, Inc. (GET) seeks a Nuclear Weapons Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in nuclear weapon science to support DOE's Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland. On-site role with potential relocation to the Germantown area for qualified candidates.

Salary ranges from $175,000 to $190,000 per year. Candidate must be a US citizen with current DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance, and possess an advanced degree with hands-on weapon-science experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in nuclear engineering or physical science.
• Hands-on nuclear weapon science experience.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior DOE management on technical issues in nuclear weapons; lead groups and develop white papers and presentations.
• Prepare classification guidance and declassification policy documents according to laws, DOE Orders and procedures.
• Develop guides for Restricted Data, Formerly Restricted Data, NSI and UCNI as applicable.

Education

Advanced degree in nuclear engineering or physical science
