Job summary

Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is seeking a Nuclear Weapons Subject Matter Expert to support the DOE Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland. This on-site, long-term role involves advising senior DOE management on nuclear weapon science and related policy matters.

Relocation support is available for candidates outside the DMV, and the position offers a comprehensive benefits package with a high compensation range of $175,000–$190,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in nuclear engineering or physical science.
• MUST have hands-on nuclear weapon science experience.
• Ten years of total field experience in nuclear weapons required.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior DOE management on current technical issues related to nuclear weapons SME area.
• Lead working groups and develop white papers and presentations.
• Prepare classification guidance and declassification policy documents and guides per DOE procedures.
