Job summary

Global Engineering & Technology, Inc. (GET) seeks a Nuclear Weapons Subject Matter Expert for a 100% on-site role in Germantown, MD, supporting the DOE's Office of Classification. Relocation assistance is available for those outside the DMV.

The position requires a DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance, an advanced degree in nuclear engineering or physical science, and at least ten years in nuclear weapons. It is a long-term, highly compensated role with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in nuclear engineering or physical science.
• Hands-on nuclear weapon science experience.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication; reading level at or above grade 15 (Nelson Denny).

Responsibilities

• Advise senior DOE management on technical issues related to the SME's area of expertise in nuclear weapons.
• Lead working groups and develop white papers and presentations.
• Prepare classification guidance and classification/declassification policy documents per DOE procedures.
