Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Principal Power Uprate Engineer to lead nuclear energy uprate projects nationwide.

You will guide complex engineering efforts, mentor staff, and help ensure safe, compliant implementation at nuclear facilities. This leadership role can be based from any nuclear office location; remote work will be considered for strong candidates outside near offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Nuclear/Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of nuclear engineering experience with a focus on power uprates.
• PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus.
• Experience with IEEE/IEC/NEC/NERC standards; nuclear context.
• Experience across electrical, mechanical, civil/structural disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead power uprate evaluations and implementation as SME.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with design, licensing, operations.
• Assess design margins for reactor core, steam generators, feedwater, and electrical systems.
• Develop scopes of work and cost-benefit analyses for uprates.
• Prepare technical reports and design change packages for regulators and stakeholders.
• Interface with vendors and contractors for studies and upgrades.
