Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Project Engineer to support Power Uprate initiatives within our Nuclear Services Group. This role will lead complex engineering tasks, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive safe, cost-effective solutions for nuclear facilities nationwide.

You will manage budgets, refine proposals, and collaborate with clients and SMEs to deliver compliant, high-quality outcomes. A strong background in power facilities, budgeting, and multi-site coordination is required to advance

Qualifications

• Design engineering experience with modification and implementation processes in power facilities.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in the nuclear, power, or industrial industries as an Engineer or Project Manager.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering (or related) OR PMP Certification and 10 years' applicable experience.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes.
• Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
• Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.
• Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic discussions and align teams to meet quality and deadlines.
• Manage budgets, refine proposals, and identify new opportunities.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary design engineering projects and serve as technical lead.
• Ensure client interactions and project scope meet satisfaction.
• Develop detailed project reports and monitor financial performance.
• Support marketing efforts with winning proposals and follow-up activities.
