Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. in the United States seeks a Mid-Level Power Uprate Analysis Engineer to contribute to evaluation and implementation of power uprates at nuclear facilities. You will work with experienced engineers to understand plant systems and growth opportunities.

The role encompasses design margin and system impact analysis, scoping modifications, and cross-disciplinary coordination with licensing, operations, and maintenance teams. Some positions may be performed remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university.
• 3–10 years of experience performing nuclear power design engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience performing nuclear power design engineering related to uprates.
• PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus.
• Experience evaluating large scale power generation systems following IEEE, IEC, NEC, and NERC; preferably in nuclear.
• Experience in engineering studies in electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design margin evaluation across nuclear plant systems, including reactor core and electrical infrastructure.
• Analyze impact of increased power levels on plant systems, components, and structures.
• Determine modifications to accommodate new power level; develop scopes of work and cost-benefit analyses.
• Coordinate with design engineering, licensing, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare technical reports, design change packages, and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Interface with vendors and contractors for specialized studies and upgrades.
