Job summary

Averro seeks a Structural Engineer (Nuclear) to join its advanced nuclear technology team focused on next-generation microreactors. The role emphasizes ASME BPV Code compliance, seismic analysis, and structural design.

You will design and evaluate pressure vessels, piping, and supports for regulatory compliance; mentor junior engineers and collaborate with mechanical, piping, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical engineering with 5+ years of heavy industrial design.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME BPV Code Sections III and VIII with experience in nuclear/energy projects.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority on ASME BPV Code III & VIII and related piping standards.
• Design and analyze structural systems including pressure vessels, piping, and equipment supports for full regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate structural integrity against environmental and dynamic hazards including seismic and blast loadings.
• Author and review engineering calculations; audit designs for accuracy and compliance with system requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with mechanical, piping, and systems teams on complex projects.
