Job summary

NANO Nuclear Energy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team and advance ASME BPVC-compliant structural designs for advanced energy projects. You will design, analyze, and optimize supports, pressure vessels, and piping while collaborating with mechanical, piping, and process engineers to ensure system integrity.

The role requires a strong background in ASME BPVC, cross-functional teamwork, and clear technical communication to mentors and peers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years in heavy industrial structural design, nuclear/energy preferred.
Advanced knowledge of ASME BPVC Sections III/VIII is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Serve as authority on ASME BPVC Sections III and VIII and ASME B31.1/B31.3.
Author and review engineering calculations for regulatory compliance.
Audit outputs from drafters and vendors for technical accuracy.
Ensure high integrity through rigorous work processes and reviews.
Evaluate structural integrity against seismic and blast loads.
Develop buildable designs for skids, foundations, modules, and supports.
Conduct pipe stress calculations for nozzle loads and movements.
Interface with Authorized Inspectors during design reviews.
Collaborate with mechanical, piping, and process engineers to prevent load transfer issues.
Mentor junior structural engineers on code calculations and FE analyses.
