Job summary

N3B Los Alamos, LLC is seeking a Nuclear Shift Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations of nuclear facilities, ensure safe operation, and maintain status control of safety systems and work control.

The SOM coordinates with DOE representatives, conducts incident investigations, and supports audits and performance improvements. DOE 426.2 qualifications and nuclear-operations experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Must meet 3 years of job-related experience and 2 years of nuclear experience per DOE O 426.2.
• Experience in a formal Conduct of Operations framework (DOE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of nuclear facilities and ensure safe operation of nuclear work.
• Coordinate and direct facility and support functions, including maintenance, engineering and radiological protection.
• Lead Conduct-of-Operations activities and manage training/audits as required.
• Respond to incidents, investigate with action plans, and report per DOE requirements.
• Manage planning, scheduling, and perform internal/external audits.
• Serve as liaison with DOE Facility Representatives and other agencies.
