Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Nuclear Safety Engineer Supervisor to lead the Nuclear Safety Engineering team on projects hosted from Aiken, SC or Richland, WA. Remote work supported as needed to meet customer and project requirements.

The role requires coordinating with project managers and engineering leaders, ensuring compliance with DOE/NNSA safety standards, and guiding staffing, budgets, and schedules while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering or equivalent and 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• MS/MA in engineering or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• 2+ years in supervisory role.
• Intermediate knowledge of discipline and understanding of other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering with other disciplines and maintain records.
• Ensure documents comply with state laws and obtain seals when required.
• Establish schedules and budgets to meet project requirements.
• Mentor team members and lead manpower and cost planning.
