Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Nuclear Principal Engineer to provide safety analysis and engineering support at the Wolf Creek Generating Station. The role includes transitioning core design methodology and delivering analyses, with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction, while working a hybrid schedule with onsite presence at WCGS in Burlington, Kansas.

The ideal candidate has a nuclear engineering background, 10+ years of experience, and access to the Wolf Creek site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Nuclear preferred) or Physics.
• Minimum 10 years of applicable experience.
• Unescorted access at Wolf Creek Generating Station will be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety analysis engineering at Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS).
• Conduct complex engineering design and analyses for the nuclear industry with technical input and written documents.
• Lead the transition of the WCNOC Core design and safety analysis methodology to Westinghouse methodology.
• Directly responsible for daily WCNOC customer satisfaction in fuel reload design and support.
