Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Nuclear Principal Engineer to support Wolf Creek Generating Station with core design and safety analyses, blending remote work with 2 days onsite weekly at WCGS in Burlington, KS. You will develop procedures, perform safety analyses, and ensure smooth transition of methodologies between organizations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering (Nuclear preferred) or Physics, 10+ years’ experience, and familiarity with NRC safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Nuclear preferred) or Physics.
• 10+ years of applicable experience in nuclear engineering or safety analysis.
• Experience with fuel reload design and safety analysis methods.
• Unescorted access at Wolf Creek Generating Station may be required.
• Familiarity with NRC requirements for safety analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety analysis engineering at Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS).
• Design and analyze fuel reloads, core performance, and thermal hydraulics.
• Transition WCNOC core design and safety analysis methodology to Westinghouse.
• Provide technical input and communicate status to stakeholders.
