Job summary

Management Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Safety Analysis Engineer to join our Nuclear Engineering practice. This client-facing role supports DOE NNSA and other federal programs through performance of nuclear facility safety analyses and development of safety basis documentation for facilities and modernization projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program in Engineering or related technical field.
• Eight+ years of DOE nuclear safety, safety analysis, or safety basis experience.
• Experience with hazard analyses and safety basis documentation (DSAs, TSRs, hazard reports).
• Working knowledge of 10 CFR 830 Subpart B and DOE safety guidance.
• Active DOE Q clearance. Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety analyses and develop Safety Basis documentation for DOE Hazard Category 2 and 3 facilities.
• Prepare hazard identification/screening documents and hazard evaluation studies.
• Support facility operations, modifications, and modernization efforts with safety analyses.
• Evaluate safety-significant SSCs and develop functional requirements and system descriptions.
• Apply DOE standards and client procedures to safety analyses and documentation.
• Participate in USQ screenings and related documentation.
• Review designs and work packages for consistency with Safety Basis requirements.
