Job summary

Management Solutions LLC in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced Safety Analysis Engineer to support DOE NNSA and other federal nuclear programs by performing safety analyses and developing safety basis documentation for existing facilities and modernization projects. The role is client-facing and requires ABET-accredited engineering degree, 8+ years of DOE nuclear safety experience, hazard analyses, and an active DOE Q clearance.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing hazard and accident analyses and drafting Safety Basis documents such as DSAs and TSRs.
• Knowledge of DOE safety requirements and applicable DOE orders and handbooks.
• Active DOE Q clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety analyses and develop Safety Basis documentation for DOE Hazard Category 2 and 3 facilities.
• Support hazard analyses for facility operations, modifications, and modernization projects.
• Evaluate safety-significant SSCs and assist in defining system requirements and descriptions.
• Apply 10 CFR 830 Subpart B and DOE standards in safety analyses and documentation.
• Prepare clear analytical reports and participate in technical reviews.
