Job summary

TerraPower is seeking a Senior Engineer for Consequence Safety Methods & Analysis to support the Natrium reactor design and licensing. The role focuses on methodology development, safety analyses, and collaboration with safety engineers across disciplines.

Responsibilities include EMDA P development, transient analyses, and contributing to software qualification and hazard assessments within the SFR program. Strong communication and regulatory familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 10+ years nuclear experience.
• Experience with transient/accident analysis methods.
• Familiarity with NRC design/analysis interactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop methodologies with a graded EMDA P approach.
• Create analytical models and perform transient analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to define safety requirements.
• Maintain documentation of analyses and methodologies.
• Support software qualification and hazard analysis activities.
