Job summary

Tennessee Valley Authority in Chattanooga/Oak Ridge seeks a Senior Manager, Nuclear Quality Assurance to lead the development and maintenance of robust QA programs for New Nuclear Deployment and related projects. You will oversee audits, supplier QA, and site oversight to ensure compliance with NRC regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in QA verification activities; nuclear experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NRC regulations, INPO guidelines and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Nuclear Quality Assurance Plan and QA procedures.
• Audit and oversee TVA QA programs at corporate and site levels.
• Lead QA staff (5–10 direct; up to 20+ for large projects).
• Manage vendor audits and inspection activities; oversee supplier QA.
• Review procurement documents for QA requirements with graded approach.
• Implement QA training and maintain effectiveness of that training.
• Authorize stop-work actions to control nonconforming materials.
