Job summary

GE Vernova, in Wilmington, NC, seeks an Advanced Nuclear Senior Project Manager to drive deployment and execution of SMR projects worldwide. The role reports to the Project Management Director and supports planning and contracts for design and construction of SMRs.

The candidate will manage project cost structures, risk, and governance, coordinate kickoffs, and ensure compliance with export controls. A PMP, nuclear industry experience, and matrixed leadership are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management.
• Minimum 3 years managing medium- to large-scale projects (with multi-disciplinary team and project).

Responsibilities

• On-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources.
• Maintain Project Risk Register to communicate and mitigate overall project risk level.
• Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings.
• Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
• Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
• Develop and issue the Project Work Plan and related project plans and project procedures; facilitate the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team
• Project administration and configuration management of project documentation to assist the Project Director
• Ensure compliance with U. S. export control and other requirements as applicable
• Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools
• Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
• Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
• Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
• Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
