Job summary

UCOR is seeking an Operations Manager I-II for the Transuranic Waste Processing Center in Oak Ridge, TN. This senior leadership role directs safe, compliant facility operations, oversees radiation safety programs, and maintains operational readiness for waste receiving and shipment.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in DOE facility management, experience with hazard controls, and the ability to coordinate with safety and environmental teams to sustain exemplary performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in hazardous and regulated DOE operations.
• At least 5 years in a nuclear hazard category II nuclear facility.

Responsibilities

• Represent TWPC Management chain of command in the execution of daily activities.
• Administers the TWPC Facility Emergency Management Program.
• Implements the Conduct of Operations Program in the facility.
• Ensures operations are conducted compliantly with the Safety Basis; liaises with Nuclear Facility Safety Manager and Nuclear Criticality Safety Manager.
• Oversees control area; communications and shift turnover.
• Conducts investigations of Abnormal Events and provides notifications and occurrence reporting.
