The role requires strong regulatory expertise, excellent technical writing, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable engineering and programmatic solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of nuclear regulatory frameworks, licensing processes, and safety analysis principles.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into engineering or programmatic actions.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensing applications, safety analysis reports, and regulatory submittals for advanced reactor systems.
• Act as primary contact with NRC, DOE, and other regulatory agencies.
• Develop licensing strategies aligned with 10 CFR 50, 52, 70 and related guidance.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to meet regulatory requirements and licensing basis.
• Prepare responses to RAIs with technical rigor and clarity.
• Maintain licensing basis documentation and regulatory commitments.
• Support readiness activities for NRC/DOE inspections and milestone reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve licensing processes and procedures.
• Engage SMEs and external resources to support licensing activities.
