Job summary

Portland General Electric is seeking a Senior Nuclear Licensing Specialist for the Trojan ISFSI to support licensing bases, regulatory compliance, and agency interfaces. You will maintain licensing documents, manage NRC submittals and 10 CFR 72.48 evaluations, and coordinate audits and inspections.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing procedures, conducting screenings, coordinating with NRC/state agencies, and ensuring compliance with 10 CFR Parts 72/73 and ANSI/ASME standards,

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 10+ years in power/energy industry with at least 3 years in nuclear licensing or equivalent managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains and processes licensing documents.
• Interacts with NRC, states and local agencies; coordinates submittals and RAIs.
• Leads or conducts screenings/evaluations to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
• Plans, coordinates and conducts emergency planning drills and exercises.
• Ensures compliance with 10 CFR Parts 72/73 and ANSI/ASME guidance; oversees change control and document management.
