Job summary

The Nuclear Company seeks a Sr. Licensing Engineer to join our Regulatory team in Columbia, SC. You will develop and maintain licensing strategies, draft submittals, and ensure compliance with NRC and other regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Director of Licensing, you will interpret regulations, coordinate with engineering and operations, and support inspections, audits, and regulatory responses with a focus on accuracy and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years in nuclear engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with NRC regulations and licensing guidance documents.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing licensing documents is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and revise licensing documents and submittals.
  • Interpret and analyze federal, state, and local nuclear regulations.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies and support inspections.
  • Develop programs to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical licensing support to engineering and operations.
  • Assist in training on licensing requirements.
