Job summary

Eliassen Group in Aiken, SC is seeking an Advisory Engineer to provide senior technical expertise across nuclear facility maintenance, work control, electrical safety, and DOE/site compliance.

The role requires extensive nuclear facility experience, DOE orders familiarity, and an active U.S. security clearance. W-2 employment includes medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Extensive nuclear facility management across maintenance, audits, metrics, and DOE/site compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, 10 CFR 851 and DOE Orders 422.1, 426.2, 433.1B.
• DOE Q clearance required; preferred active L or Q clearance within past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory-level technical support for nuclear facility maintenance programs and work control.
• Oversee and advise on electrical maintenance and electrical safety practices per NFPA 70E and OSHA.
• Support facility audits, assessments, and performance metric evaluations.
• Advise on Conduct of Operations and alignment with DOE Orders/site directives.
• Guide compliance with DOE/site requirements and 10 CFR 851.
• Support technical reviews and boards such as SERB and SLIC as applicable.
