Job summary

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) seeks an Advisory Engineer to support the Site Electrical Safety Program at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. The role provides senior-level technical expertise in nuclear facility maintenance, electrical safety, Hazardous Energy Control (HEC), work control, and regulatory compliance.

You will advise Health and Safety and other site organizations, interpret procedures (8Q-122, 8Q-10, 8Q-32, 18Q-2), lead investigations, and interface with DOE/NNSA on

Qualifications

• PhD with ~15 years of relevant experience in advisory roles.
• MS/BS degrees with extensive nuclear safety and compliance exposure.
• Experience interpreting OSHA/NFPA/DOE orders and applying them on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hazardous Energy Control guidance and electrical safety support.
• Advise Health and Safety and site organizations on procedures and programmatic requirements.
• Interpret and implement site manuals (8Q-122, 8Q-10, 8Q-32, 18Q-2) and related documents.
• Lead investigations, assessments, and corrective-action considerations.
• Interface with DOE/NNSA and regulatory bodies as required.
