Job summary

UDR Consulting, INC is seeking an Advisory Engineer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site. The role focuses on advancing technical programs, solving complex problems, and providing cross-disciplinary leadership.

You will mentor colleagues, develop plans with schedules and budgets, and communicate results to oversight groups. A PhD or substantial industry experience with DOE-style projects is highly valued, along with a strong background in electrical safety and Hazardous Energy Control.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced degree and substantial experience; PhD with ~15+ years, MS with ~17+, BS with ~21+ years.
• Active DOE security clearance is preferred; ability to obtain clearance if not current.
• Experience leading technical programs and mentoring professionals across disciplines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to sponsor new ideas and plan budgets.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead technical programs based on customer needs and technology trends.
• Solve complex problems across multiple technical fields and influence adjacent disciplines.
• Provide leadership in determining solutions and mentor others in communication skills.
• Develop project plans with schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements.
• Represent SRNS/ SRS in technical matters to oversight groups and professional societies.
