Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks an Advisory Engineer to support Savannah River Nuclear Solution activities in Aiken, SC. The role requires deep experience with nuclear facilities, OSHA/NFPA/DOE regulatory standards, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.

Hybrid onsite/remote work is expected, with emphasis on technical leadership and program development. The ideal candidate will mentor junior staff, develop complex engineering plans, and lead safety and compliance

Qualifications

At least 15-21 years of relevant experience (required).
U.S. Citizenship required (required).
Ability to pass a federal background investigation to secure/maintain DOE Q security clearance (required).
Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, 10 CFR 851, and DOE Orders 422.1/426.2/433.1B (required).
Extensive experience managing nuclear facilities including maintenance, safety, and compliance (required).
Health & Safety training and drug/background testing (required).

Responsibilities

Initiate and lead technical programs; analyze customer needs and trends to shape solutions.
Apply deep technical experience to resolve complex problems across disciplines.
Incorporate advanced technical practices and materials into problem solving and planning.
Provide leadership; mentor staff and influence technical direction.
Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans for major tasks; monitor progress and quality.
Communicate results through reports and presentations; engage with oversight groups.
