Job summary

Leidos Analysis Solutions is seeking a Senior Nuclear Engineer in Reston, VA. You will apply advanced nuclear engineering principles to support counterproliferation missions, nuclear survivability design, and complex analyses of facilities, processes, and supply chains.

You will perform high-fidelity reverse-engineering analyses, develop physics-based simulations using MCNP, SCALE, ORIGEN, and COMSOL, and deliver technical reports and briefings to government stakeholders. U.S.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Polygraph clearance required; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 10+ years.
• Experience with nuclear weapons supply chains, facilities, or related logistics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-fidelity reverse-engineering analyses and vulnerability assessments of facilities, stockpiles, supply chains, and production processes.
• Analyze effects of nuclear weapons on facilities and develop protective design criteria using physics-based models.
• Perform multiphysics modeling and simulations to evaluate system performance, resilience, and survivability.
• Monitor and synthesize open-source and intelligence datasets; assess foreign nuclear capabilities and timelines.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, engineering assessments, and executive-level briefings for government stakeholders.
