Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in nuclear power to lead design and project execution for operating facilities. You will develop electrical drawings, perform advanced calculations, and coordinate with clients and construction teams.

The role requires extensive experience in electrical design for nuclear projects, proficiency with ETAP, SKM, and AutoCAD, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment across multiple offices in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 11 years of related experience incl. nuclear or power facilities.
• PE license preferred or required by jurisdiction.
• Must be eligible for security-clearance/citizenship requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and project execution for nuclear power facilities.
• Develop electrical design deliverables including single-line/multi-line diagrams and schematics.
• Perform complex engineering calculations (load flow, short circuit, arc flash).
• Prepare BOMs and man-hour budgets; manage schedules and budgets.
