Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Power Generation. The role focuses on leading electrical design for conventional power projects, producing drawings, BOMs and specifications, and delivering complex engineering solutions across multi-site teams.

You will use ETAP/SKM, AutoCAD and ProjectWise, coordinate with clients, and guide project teams through budgeting, scheduling and risk management. Hybrid/flexible work options apply in many offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 11+ years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration (PE) where required.
• Ability to complete pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Function as project lead and technical expert on conventional power generation projects.
• Develop electrical drawings including one-line and two-line diagrams and schematics.
• Prepare BOMs and electrical equipment specifications.
• Create man-hour budgets and project schedules.
• Attend on-site meetings and interface with clients during construction.
• Utilize ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD and ProjectWise for design delivery.
